Caroline (18) is a budding writer and hopes to head to Liberty University for college. Coulter (16) is a pretty darn good mountain bike racer and a Star Scout headed to Eagle. Merrick (14) is a musician and a 1st Class Scout headed to Eagle. Wyatt (12) knows more about WWII aircraft than anyone I know and is a Tenderfoot Scout on the trail to Eagle behind his brothers.

THIRTY YEARS - are we sure about this? I thought I'd be somebody by now. We live in Bailey, Colorado which is about 40 miles southwest of downtown Denver. My parents moved to Fort Collins while I was in college. After the 1980 school year, I went to Fort Collins for the summer and just never returned to Iowa State. There was a time in my mid-20's I had this nagging thought, kind of a tap on the shoulder, saying "It's time to go back to Iowa" but Colorado feels like home now. I always enjoy the natural beauty of Iowa though - those rolling fields really are gorgeous. I've worked in the real estate industry mostly and have a small (just me) real estate appraisal firm. After attending the 20 and 25 year reunions and visiting with many classmates, I realized what a shame it had been to not get to know more of my great classmates while in high school. The industry is in challenging times and I likely won’t be able to make the reunion this year. Darn it! The same . . . but older, grayer, and heavier.
